Job: Retail Loss Prevention - Store Detective: Macy's Cascade Mall

Overview:

Detect and apprehend persons violating state statutes relative to retail theft, misuse of Macy's credit cards and any other criminal statutes which apply in situations involving the protection of company assets. Support the store's efforts in providing the best customer service within a controlled environment so as to ensure maximum sales at the highest profit rate attainable.

Key Accountabilities:

Investigate any criminal violation against the person or property of any customer or associate committed on company premises.
Have knowledge of and maintain strict compliance with the law and company policy concerning arrest, search & seizure and evidence.
Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to any and all theft incidents or occurrences of consequence to the security function.
Testify in court concerning any case, criminal or civil, wherein the company is a party in interest and to which the detective is summoned.
Successfully complete the Detective I training class and inter-active Video Program.

Skill Summary:

Must be able to respond to alarm calls during non-business hours. Prior retail Security experience is preferred, however not required. Proficient in verbal and written skills. Must have ability to adapt to possible stressful and hostile situations.
