Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Chemist for employment in the Seattle, WA office. We seek a person with science background who is interested in validating and tabulating environmental analytical chemistry.  AECOM will train individual to validate data, but selected person must have a background in sciences with preference to chemistry or environmental science, be detail-oriented and proficient in EXCEL and WORD.  Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills will be necessary to work in our collaborative team-oriented offices; strong interpersonal skills are a must.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform validation of laboratory data as instructed by more senior staff
  • Tabulate data as requested by project/task managers
  • Support work plan and QAPP development
  • Support project teams preparing for field efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • U.S. citizenship required


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry or Environmental Science preferred)
  • 2+ years of work experience (does not need to be relevant)
  • Proficient with Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated, able to follow through with assigned tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills; time management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse project tasks; an eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges
  • Ability to work well in a project team and a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to travel as required
