Quality Manager - Contingent
The QualityManager's primary duties include managementof the Quality Management System and supervision of Quality Management personnel in the performance of the contract.
The QM shall have completed five years of satisfactory experience inpreparing and enforcing QMS programs on contracts of similar size andcomplexity in the past and have completed U.S. Army Corps of EngineersConstruction Quality Management for Contractors and the OSHA 30-hourconstruction safety class or equivalent within the last five years.
- BS in Industrial Engineering Preferred;
- Industry recognized certification in Quality Management;
- 10 years experience in overseeing a Quality Management System;
- Hands-on experience in the following areas: Process Control; Quality Control Plan Development; Quality Inspection System; Quality Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting; and Compliance with FAR Clause 52.246-4, Inspection of Services - Fixed Price.
- Maximo experience required.
- Experience in Facility Support Services and Maintenance;
- Asset Management and demonstrated knowledge of Maintenance Reliability practices will be given preference.
- Certification as a Reliability Maintenance Professional (CMRP) is a plus.
PhysicalRequirements of Position: Work may involve sitting or standing for extendedperiods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from acomputer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to:bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timelyand efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability andlocation of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment: Generally an office environment but can involve inside oroutside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle(considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dimlighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions includingwarm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers,customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusualenvironmental conditions. Work site is located in Bangor, WA at a large complex,mostly office facilities and industrial plants.
Equipment and Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer,printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment includingdesk supplies and other work-related tools as required.
Attendance: Regular hours will be Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Regularattendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, exceptfor deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary tomeet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surgesituations based on critical mission requirements. With exceptioin of approvedleave and holidays, attendance is mandatory. The QM shall be on-site during theGovernment's regular working hours and shall be available on-site within twohours after the Government's request after regular hours. Overtime may berequired. Position or alternate shall be available on-site within one hour ofcustomer's request.
Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrateprofessional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, andco-workers. Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills inEnglish, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate forthe position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintaina positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professionalmanner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required.Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required tosupport projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases,accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating anyvehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellulardevices are to be used when vehicle is in motion. Must take and pass a drugtest and background check. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhancesproductivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to communicateeffectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interfaceeffectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willingto travel as needed.
