Manager Site Reliability

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Manager Site Reliability for its Mountlake Terrace, Washington office.

Job Duties: Lead a team of engineers to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of services and systems. Recruit, grow, mentor and coach engineers to identify and deliver software/service improvements. Ensure adherence to Premera's SDLC, Agile practices, and Engineering Standards, and work with other teams to improve the customer experience. Lead with a focus on monitoring and instrumenting all aspects of applications and infrastructure. Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline and automate development and triage production issues. Act as a technical and business leader and participate in on-call rotations, project planning, code review, technical design. Act as technical and business leader sharing knowledge, and expertise on business case development, Requests for Proposal (RFP), and vendor negotiation activities. Leverage extensive experience in software, site reliability, systems and service engineering. Utilize expertise with C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure Lead teams in the design, implementation and management of secure, scalable and cost-efficient solutions on the Cloud. Leverage experience with Live Site and operating in DevSecOps environments and current software development expertise in multiple programming languages, such as C#, C++, Python, Java, etc. Lead teams in software/system design, development, administration and testing in Cloud/Hybrid environments. Leverage metrics to influence business decisions, as well as budget and vendor management. Oversee build of applications and services using public cloud offerings (Azure, AWS). Apply knowledge of different application hosting options, such as Containers as a Service (CaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Work in Agile environment and collaborate cross functionally to understand shared goals and objectives. Set short and long-term department goals that align with overall IT organizational direction. Lead team to deliver high quality products and services resulting in highly satisfied customers. Apply knowledge of IT IS and IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem and Change Management. Build successful engineering teams and manage/retain high performing talent. Telecommuting permitted.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. 

Experience Requirements: Two (2) years of experience in each of the following: 

" Management/Team leadership

" Cloud (azure) skills

" DevSecOps skills

" Performance and Reliability Management

" Budget and Resource Management 

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Salary: $151,778 to $151,778 per year
