Senior Software Engineer

Smart Product Data, LLC dba Prodx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Tacoma, Washington office.

Job Duties: Work closely with the company's enterprise customers to develop a deep understanding of the domain for a new microservice. Design the data model for the new microservice, using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. Help architect the new microservice on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform, with a focus on security, availability, and scalability. Build the new microservice from the ground up, including data stores, APIs, and UIs. Create and manage real-time monitoring, telemetry, and alerts for the new microservice. Maintain and iterate on the microservice, based upon feedback and usage patterns from enterprise users. Telecommuting is permitted.

Education Requirement: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field***

Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of experience in each of the following:***

" Designing and architecting new capabilities for software platforms

" Testing software components to identify and eliminate errors and bugs

" Programming in object-oriented languages such as C#, Java, or Python

" Developing highly scalable APIs using Web Development Frameworks

" Data modeling including adding new data models and migrating existing data models

***Employer will accept a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in all the above in lieu of a master's degree and three (3) years of experience.
