Job Description

Membrion, Inc. is seeking a Senior Customer Success Engineer for its Seattle, Washington office.


Job Duties: Use electro-ceramic desalination (ECD) to conduct water and wastewater treatability studies at a variety of testing locations as well as monitor and ensure successful installation and operation of ECD at commercial scale. Operate, maintain, and repair mobile and stationary pilot test equipment including pumps, instruments, valves, chemical delivery systems, control systems, and other equipment associated with the company's field-testing units. Monitor and diagnose performance of commercial units as they operate in the field and collaborate with integrators and end users to ensure successful operations. Prepare graphs and presentations to present technical outcomes to clients and partners. Design, draw, and build bench or pilot scale test set-ups. Conduct water treatment studies and water analyses using bench scale lab equipment, field equipment, and process analysis equipment. Conduct process startups and performance tests on pilot scale test installations. Assist with process startups and commissioning of commercial installations. Prepare pilot operations and maintenance manuals, train and guide clients on the pilot and commercial system operation and maintenance. Mentor and train engineers and sales team on basics of electro-ceramic desalination and advanced pilot operations. Assist senior controls engineers and contractors with PLC & HMI development and programming to be used in pilots and on commercial installations. Design, draw, and build bench or pilot scale text set-ups. Perform electrical and controls troubleshooting of pilots. Read and consult on P&ID diagrams for pilots and commercial installations. 40% to 60% domestic travel required. Telecommuting is permitted.


Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Also requires education or experience in each of the following:


" Troubleshooting and repairing water treatment equipment ranging from instrumentation to pumps to controls 

" Utilizing electro-chemical equipment, membrane-based systems, and/or industrial wastewater treatment 

" Developing pilot test protocols, analyzing data, optimizing treatment processes, and writing technical reports 

" Operating and managing industrial/municipal water treatment equipment such as EDR/RO/UF/MF/coagulation/chemical addition/MBR
