Company location is Woodland, WA. The machinist sets up and operates conventional machines to fabricate parts by performing the following duties:


-Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

-Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as knee mills, lathes, grinders, and horizontal/vertical boring mills.

-Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant, flow, depth, and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

-Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

-Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.

-Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

-Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly. -Other duties may be assigned.


-Established safety practices and procedures.

-Follow ISO policies and procedures.

-Good mathematical aptitude and knowledge of measuring instruments such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.

-Proficiency reading blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specification, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.

-Demonstrated attitude, which portrays ability to get along with others, function as a team player, accept constructive criticism from their supervisor and follow work rules.


-Ability to select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.

-Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.

-Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary based on customer requirements.
