External Job Description
The selected candidate will be the PNW Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) Material Manager. Will be responsible for GFE\GFM inventory and tool issue for shipboard Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) and Food, Service and Laundry (FS&L) equipment. Specific responsibilities include receiving incoming material / tools, inventorying and storing material and tools and preparing material / tools for issue and / or shipment.

Experience can be attained from one or more of the following: US Navy active duty; a contractor supporting the US Navy for logistics; or a government employee supporting US Navy logistics.


Qualified candidates should meet the following requirements:

**Candidate must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN base access and a Confidential Security Clearance**
• US Navy experience as a divisional Repair Parts Petty Officer (RPPO) or have a US Navy Supply background.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints and tech manuals to help identify repair parts.
• Experience working on US Navy aircraft carriers. Big deck amphibious ships experience is desired.
• Must have strong computer skills.

Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.

Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
