Employee Testimonials

OBHC is on the front lines; a 'tip of the spear' example of the behavioral healthcare solutions that are increasingly a part of most conversations of this country’s needs.

Chris HarlowIT Operations Coordinator

It’s hard to find an agency that respects family values and the fact that employees have children to care for and that sometimes, life happens. OBHC does exactly that. It’s comforting to know that I can take care of my life outside of work, without question.

Amanda AbrahamsonSubstance Use Disorder Program Assistant

Over the years, I have personally witnessed the difference that this agency has made in multiple people’s lives. I have watched folks, struggling with mental illness and chemical dependency issues, attain and keep jobs and housing. For some of these folks, it was their first job and first place that they could call their own. I have seen families reunite, I have seen parents regain custody of their children. Knowing that we make a difference is my favorite part of working here.

Russ MatthynssensShove House Program Lead

Every day at OBHC has challenges and successes! My favorite instances during these days have been when I’ve experienced the supports, encouragement, and insightful suggestions from my team members. On a regular basis my team members tell me, “We are happy that you are here!'

Carla RileyCase Manager

My favorite day at work is any day when I have an opportunity to practice mindfulness with clients.
