Job Description

FT, exempt, 80 hrs/pp, 1.0 FTE; Mon.-Fri., days.

Job Summary:

To provide back-up, internal control, and support to all functions and positions within the Accounting Department. This position works closely with the Accountant, Human Resources Department, the Supply Chain Department, department directors and staff in order to meet organizational and regulatory requirements. This position functions as part of the accounting team.  The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategy of PMH Medical Center, personifying service and operational excellence. It is expected that this position shall maintain the best patient, employee, physician, and student experience.  The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of Accounting along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or GED with college level course work in Business Administration or related work experience.

At least two years’ experience in payroll, accounts payable, or accounting experience with knowledgeable background in fully computerized financial systems preferred.

Hospital accounting experience preferred.

Must be proficient in Excel.
