    Responsibilities

    • Primary Role will be beginning assembly work which will include finish work
      • Start learning to perform all mechanical assembly, functional tests, test setups, and finish operations on product line per blueprints and planning with little to no supervision.
      • Determine the sequence of assembly operations in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control to optimize the process and achieve maximum productivity and quality.
      • With Assistance determine cause and corrective action through failure analysis in conjunction with Design Engineering and Quality Control.
      • Maintain orderly and retrievable records of work performed and complete records of test setups, shop books, photos, and procedures.
      • Perform requirements involving straightening of T.I.R. milling, swaging, staking, drilling, install bushing and side load test per process specifications of sub-assemblies.
      • Work with hazardous chemicals such as: Acetone, Alcohol, HFE-72DE, paints, sealants, bonding solvents paint stripper, solvents and paint thinners. May involve prolonged exposure to caustic oils such as Hyjet IV. Some heavy lifting required.
      • Begin learning Setup and conduct tests and experiments on components and complete units to evaluate design characteristics and performance of test items.
      • Working with the Tool Design and Tooling Departments, design tools for new jobs, test setups, fixtures, and assembly aides.
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: walk, stand, sit, talk and hear. Use hands to finger pinching motion, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
      • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and depth perception.
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

    Qualifications

    Experience & Knowledge:

    • Safety orientated and willing to participate in continuous improvement team discussions.
    • General mechanical knowledge/background.
    • Prefer knowledge of advanced hydraulic and electro-hydraulic theory and formula.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • High School Diploma, (GED) or equivalent.
    • Minimum of one year experience in manufacturing environment, with exposure to/familiarity with machining, assembling, and/or functional testing operations.
    • Safe use of hand and power tools.
    • Ability to follow instruction. (oral and written).
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Prefer ability to read and interpret blueprints and hydraulic and electrical diagrams.
    • Intermediate computer skills.
    • Willing to work in team environment and participate in team process improvement discussions.
    • Must be able to work weekends as needed to meet commitments to our customers.
