Available - Variable Hrs - min 3 shifts (24hrs) every three months
Work Hours: 7:00a - 4:00p
Performs venipunctures and capillary punctures. Collects other laboratory specimens following standard laboratory policies and techniques as defined in the laboratory procedure manuals. Considers the priority and urgency of test results (STAT, ASAP, Timed, etc.) and responds appropriately. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Maintains and promotes teamwork with all staff. Maintains an appropriate level of responsibility for updating job-related knowledge and skills level. When directed, works as the Laboratory Specimen Processor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of Phlebotomy Certificate program preferred.
Experience: Phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Washington State (DOH) Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy licensure required. American Heart Association BLS required for the Memorial Physicians Lab department.
